If it’s some serious Moto inspiration you’re looking for then look no further than our next Camp VC rider feature with the awesome Steph Bolam!

After starting to ride motorcycles at 30 years old Steph is now a bonafide Moto ripper who races  vintage flat track bikes, smashes enduros and burns around London’s roads (usually with her awesome 8 year old moto riding daughter Lola on the backseat!)

We met Steph at CAMP VC Back in 2017 when she came to the event with a friend after seeing it on Instagram and now she comes every year for some moto ripping good vibes! So who better to impart a bit of Camp VC advice and tell you makes her come back year after year?!

Read on and if you see Steph onsite at this years event say a big heyyyyyy!

Hey Steph! So when did you first start riding motorcycles?

I started 5 years ago, age 30.

What do you currently ride?

I’m currently riding a 1972 Bultaco flat tracker for racing, a Beta xTrainer for enduro and a husqvarna svartpilen 401 for the road.

What does being part of the motorcycle community mean to you?

I love it, there are many parts to the community and I have found my people in it. It really is a family of passionate like minded people who are excited to get outdoors, have adventures, laugh, encourage and support.

Tell us about your first experience of Camp VC:

It was 4 years ago now, on the way I was so excited to get there I was rushing to fill up the petrol tank of my trials bike and sprayed a shit ton of petrol in my face and both eyes. Luckily my mate Tiffanie was on hand and managed to clean out my burning eyes. I probably should have gone to hospital but despite no eye lashes and slight skin burns we decided to crack on and get to Camp VC. The Party that night really helped the pain and riding at the enduro school the next day made me forget everything (unless I touched my eyes).

Tell us your best memory from Camp VC:

I love waking up in that beautiful field surrounded by the Brecon Beacons with my mates.

What is your fave thing to do at Camp VC?

I love the Trials school, I do it every year and I am so bad at it, I love it. The inch perfect instructors are always so patient and lovely. I always come away from it a little less shit.

What are you most looking forward to at Camp VC this year?

The wheelie school!

What advice would you give someone coming to Camp VC for the first time?

Bring sun cream and wet wipes :)
