Through durable, hybrid (water & land) products and events, Island Feather is a lifestyle brand on a mission to support others to be Healthy & Happy - find your freedom. We are approaching our 4th birthday and have had an amazing journey promoting our mission. You may know us for our signature print or our Stand Up Paddleboard Yoga at other festivals in the UK. Wherever we are we try to work collectively in our community to support one another along the way.

Our Products - We know that our customers love the outdoors and are consciously streamlining their lives. To support their lifestyle, we will continue to work in partnership with our customers to design products with both sustainability and style as priority. We use advanced fabric technologies to ensure our customers feel comfortable and have no barriers from performing in their sports, we are committed to producing products that are multi-purpose to minimise the need for multiple items for different sports and select the highest quality fabrics that will endure. You won’t see multiple collections from us, but individual items carefully created and built to last so that you don’t have to buy more!

Our Events - We want to reach as many people to support them to get outdoors and try new sports. We know that offering accessible events to our customers is a way to encourage them to try new things and meet similar minded people.

Where did the idea for Island Feather come from?

Island Feather started as a market stall in Southsea, selling hair feathers. The name comes from the feathers we would place in our customers hair and Island is from Southsea being an island. As a brand it evolved into selling jewelry and other accessories. I have a love for the outdoors, watersports and the products that go with them so as a brand Island Feather organically grew into an establish sportswear, events and lifestyle brand for those who love the outdoors.

How did you first get into stand up paddle boarding?

I actually started paddleboarding over 10 years ago and bought a paddleboard when I was recovering from a Wakeboard injury. I love the water and after injuring myself Wakeboarding I had to take a couple of years out of the sport and so Paddleboarding was a less intense sport and provided a perfect technique to rehabilitate my shoulder ligaments. I loved it from the get go, and although it didnt provide me with same adrenalin that wakeboard did, it provided me with a sense of calmness, disconnect and solitude from the day to day stresses. It was something that I connected with and through this I have evolved Island Feather into offering paddleboarding services to offer our community the opportunity to try it too.

Tell us most interesting fact about you!

Well I suppose something that some people say is that I am quite brave and am someone who just puts myself out there to try new things. For those that know me well is that actually inside, I worry about everything and have to really work on my mindset to overcome challenges.

What made you want to get involved with Camp VC?

We love Camp VC! It’s all about empowering others and creating a community of support with one another, through the sports and outdoors. This is exactly what we are at Island Feather and so as our passions seemed to align we wanted to get involved and help with the mission!
