Helping others start out on two wheels is at the heart of everything we’ve ever done at VC and after the HUGE success of our VC X Herald beginners’ moto school in 21’ and 22’ we’re teaming up with the awesome HERALD MOTORCYCLES and BELL HELMETS once again to offer our beginners lessons for complete first timers to two wheels in a series of rad beginners’ riding events!

For the last 8 years VC has been running events and workshops to get womxn into motorcycles by providing supportive, friendly, space spaces to give riding a go and to learn about motorcycles.
Often when someone wants to try out riding a motorcycle they have to rely on knowing someone else who has a motorcycle to let them have a go before going down the route of taking a CBT and, ultimately, buying their own two wheels. But what happens if you know you wanna give motorcycles a try but don’t know anyone that can help you out and give you that first try on theirs?
The VC X HERALD Beginners’ Moto School exists to create an awesome space where womxn can give riding geared motorcycles a try before taking the dive and getting their CBT around a bunch of likeminded people!

OUR SCHOOL IS PERFECT FOR YOU IF:
You’ve never tried riding motorcycles before but want to give it a go in a supportive environment.
You’ve had a go at getting your CBT but maybe don’t feel the experience filled you with the confidence to get out there on your own.
You’ve done your CBT on a scooter but want to try out riding a geared motorcycle before getting your own.
You’ll be riding the ultimate beginners’ bikes - The 125cc Herald classic and the 125cc Herald Scrambler!
The Herald 125cc range are the perfect beginner’s set of two wheels! Not only are they low in height to suit all heights of rider, they’re also light weight making it the perfect first bike to try out riding (and even for you to get after you’ve completed your CBT training and get on the road!). They might be small bikes but they pack a seriously fun punch!
We will also have the Herald Motorcycles team on hand with more of their awesome range of 125cc motorcycles at each session, so you can take a look and have a sit on different bikes to see which one suits you best as a rider!
Our experienced all female team of licensed instructors will take you through from the very basics of riding a motorcycle - from where everything is located on a motorcycle, how to operate everything from gears, clutch, brakes and all controls to getting on the move.
The aim of the sessions is for everyone to leave having ridden a geared 125cc Herald motorcycle at our private riding facility feeling confident, happy and maybe even having met some new moto buddies! You can even ask about what to expect for your CBT and get tips on where we recommend to take it.
Each session is 3 hours long and we have both morning and afternoon sessions available on multiple dates throughout 2023!

Not got your own helmet yet? Worry not!
We’re so stoked to be partnering up with the legendary BELL HELMETS to provide all of our riders with helmets for our sessions!
Don’t know your size yet? We have helmets from the BELL range in every size at our sessions and as part of the session you’ll can can try on and and get advice from us on on how your helmet should fit and which is perfect for your noggin!
Situated in the heart of E16 in East London’s Docklands area is our epic training space - THE FACTORY, E16 2HB.
The Factory is super easy to reach by public transport (the nearest DLR stop- Pontoon Dock, is just a 5 minute walk away) and we also have parking for anyone coming by car.
The cost of a three hour beginner session is £90 and includes the use of our fleet of 125cc HERALD MOTORCYCLES, tuition from our all female team of licensed trainers, insurance, use of our helmets and refreshments.
