The 2017 Malle Mile is a motorcycle exhibition in motion, a series of ‘Gentlemanly’ races for the men and women who share our ideology – that motorcycles are there to be ridden.
The two day event is a celebration of motorcycling, racing, custom machines, music, motor-sports heritage and the British summertime.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
THE ‘MALLE DRIVE IN’
On the eve of this years 2 day event we will be hosting an open-air ‘drive in’ moto cinema, with The Mile ‘Pre-Party’ to get you in the spirit. Short and classic moto films will be projected onto the side of Kefington Hall once the sun sets. Do you have or know of a film worth showing? Please submit film suggestions to email@example.com.
THE HILL CLIMB
The first ‘Hill Climb Slalom’. The head to head slalom track will span across Kefington Hill – this race is definitely for knobbly tyres only!
This year The Mile Moto Exhibition of rare motorcycles will be divided into two exhibitions with racing motorcycles taking the premiere spot on the East lawn in our curated ‘A Century of Racing’ exhibition and then ’The 4 C’s’ Exhibition for the rare and unique ‘Customs, Classics, Cafes and Choppers’ on the South Lawn.
Inspired by the poodle agility courses of Crufts, the ‘Roughs Course’ is a tough timed trials course, where technique and agility reign supreme. Look for the ‘flaming hoop of death’. This year two riders will compete head to head on the Malle motors.
THE MILE SPRINT
Two days of racing will again culminate in the head to head sprint race, with classic and custom motorcycles vying for the ‘Man of the Mile’ position. This year, the classics and customs will race on the Saturday afternoon and ‘The Derby’ finale will be held on the Sunday afternoon.
THE AFTER PARTY
The after party will be thrown in the now legendary ‘Enchanted Forest’ – the underground nightclub in the depths of Kefington Hall.
This year we’re introducing the “sport” of Moto Polo. 4 teams of 5 riders will compete in the 2017 Moto Polo Championship Match on Sunday morning.
THE PODIUM-GARDEN PARTY
To celebrate the weekends racing triumphs, once the dust settles – enjoy a sunset cocktail on the front lawn, with music and games to ensue.
This year 250 guests will stay and enjoy bothnights of The Mile moto festival, with the ‘Malle Drive In’ open-air cinema and the official After Party.
